Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Assist guests with additional needs or requests periodically
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- Advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested
- Accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
- Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
- Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodate special requests
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain good relationships with guests and staff
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information to the supervisor
- Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods, keeping the area clean and neat
- Operate various equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
