Currently, Unidine is hiring for a part-time Waiter/Waitress position at Avila Retirement Community located in Albany, NY. Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner, following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested
accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate ability to get along well with others
remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
ensure dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods, maintaining sanitation standards
operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
work with other department staff during special events and functions
perform other assigned duties
