This particular position is for a part-time Waiter/Waitress role based at Croasdaile Village Retirement Community. The role involves working with a vibrant culinary team dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences. The work schedule includes shifts Monday through Friday from 4:45 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturdays from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Sundays and holidays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, providing a flexible part-time opportunity for individuals seeking to balance work and personal life.

The Waiter/Waitress will be responsible for taking food and beverage orders and delivering items efficiently to guests in the dining room while maintaining high service standards and a positive dining atmosphere. Job Requirements

  • prior hospitality experience preferred
  • ability to work specified part-time schedule including weekends and holidays
  • capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations

  • proficiency in handling food and beverage service

Job Duties

  • promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established service steps

  • demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
  • communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy and special requirements
  • handle guest complaints or issues professionally and escalate to supervisors as needed
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area before, during, and after service
  • operate dining equipment such as coffee machines, iced tea/soda dispensers, and soup wells
  • collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
