Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum two years of serving experience preferred
  • ability to work flexible part-time schedule including Monday evenings and Tuesday mornings
  • excellent communication skills
  • knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation
  • ability to work well in a team and independently
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • customer-oriented attitude
  • physical ability to perform job duties
  • willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of two years of previous serving experience preferred
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to understand and communicate menu details and dietary restrictions
  • strong customer service orientation
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and mornings
  • ability to operate food service equipment proficiently
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established service steps
  • deliver food promptly while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up with guests for additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate understanding of menu items, ingredients, and specialized diets
  • communicate directly with kitchen staff for order accuracy and accommodations
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and patience with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
  • maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints and relay to supervisor
  • set up and clean dining room before and after service periods
  • operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • assist in special events and support other departments as needed
  • perform other duties as assigned
