Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on food and drink combinations
- accommodate reasonable requests and note guest preferences
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special accommodations
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain patience and flexibility with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
- maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical guest information
- promptly address complaints or issues and report to supervisor
- ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
- collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
