Job Requirements

  • Prior server experience in high volume restaurant, cafe, or hospitality environment preferred
  • ability to work part-time approximately 15 to 20 hours per week
  • flexibility to work varying days and hours
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to operate required equipment
  • ability to handle cash properly
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior server experience in high-volume restaurant, cafe, or hospitality environment preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to remain patient and professional under pressure

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follows up periodically to assist guests with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advises guests appropriately
  • communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery
  • collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
  • promotes a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • addresses complaints promptly and escalates when necessary
  • ensures dining room is properly set up and maintained before and after service periods
  • operates various equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
  • works with other departments during special events
  • performs other duties as assigned
