The Waiter/Waitress position at Morrison Living centers on providing impeccable dining room service within a senior living setting. This role involves taking food and beverage orders, delivering these items promptly and professionally, and maintaining attentive communication with guests to ensure an outstanding hospitality experience. Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on appropriate combinations
- accommodate reasonable requests and note guest preferences including specialized diets and allergens
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests accommodation
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to work well with others
- remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- maintain high sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues relaying information to supervisor
- ensure dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods while meeting sanitation standards
- operate a variety of equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
