Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established service steps
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- accommodate reasonable requests and note guest preferences including specialized diets and allergens
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with others
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service and maintain cleanliness to sanitation standards
- operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with other departments during special events
- perform other duties as assigned
