Job Requirements
- Prior elder care experience is preferred
- Ability to work full-time or part-time schedules including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Must be able to perform physical tasks related to the role
- Must be able to follow food safety and sanitation protocols
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash accurately
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus and safety standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Understanding of specialized diets and allergen considerations
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and advise guests on food and drink combinations
- Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodate special requests
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- Address complaints promptly and relay information to supervisors
- Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service
- Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- Work with other departments during special events and functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
