Job Requirements

  • Prior elder care experience is preferred
  • Ability to work full-time or part-time schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to stand for long periods
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks related to the role
  • Must be able to follow food safety and sanitation protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash accurately
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of food and beverage menus and safety standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Understanding of specialized diets and allergen considerations

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and advise guests on food and drink combinations
  • Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodate special requests
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • Address complaints promptly and relay information to supervisors
  • Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service
  • Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
  • Work with other departments during special events and functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
