Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in serving or customer service strongly preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- familiarity with menu items and dietary considerations
- strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with any additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate thorough understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink pairings
- accommodate reasonable guest requests and note preferences
- communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy and special accommodations
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and staff
- collect tickets and handle cash transactions properly
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment
- address guest complaints promptly and relay information to supervisors
- ensure proper dining room setup before and after service
- operate various equipment like fire extinguishers and beverage machines
- collaborate with other departments for special events
- perform other duties as assigned
