Job Requirements

  • Prior server experience
  • Food handler's license
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

  • Must be able to handle cash transactions accurately
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate combinations
  • Accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
  • Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests accommodation
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to work well with others
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests adhering to sanitation standards
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared by guests
  • Promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
  • Ensure dining room is properly set up prior to and after service period
  • Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • Work with staff of other departments during special events and functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
