Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- customer service oriented with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- adaptability and patience in fast-paced situations
- basic math skills for cash handling
- willingness to learn and undergo training
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices a plus
- previous restaurant or hospitality experience is advantageous but not required
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain flexibility and patience with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
- maintain high sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical guest information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay them to supervisors
- ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
- operate dining equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
