Prior catering experience required
valid driver’s license required
ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior catering experience
valid driver’s license
excellent customer service skills
effective communication and interpersonal abilities
knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
ability to work flexible schedules including days and hours that may vary
capacity to work in a team environment
basic cash handling experience

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverages in an efficient manner following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks
accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special request accommodations
exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to get along with others
remain flexible and patient when interacting with guests and staff
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe and neat dining environment
maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding shared personal or medical information
promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service periods while adhering to sanitation standards
operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
work with other departments during special events and functions
perform other duties as assigned
