Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous server experience at a fine dining or high-end restaurant
  • ability to work full-time or part-time schedules including evenings and weekends
  • excellent communication skills
  • capacity to follow sanitation and safety procedures
  • ability to handle cash and operate related equipment
  • willingness to learn and adapt to various service situations
  • adherence to company policies including safety protocols relevant to the job

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with guests' additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct orders and special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain a positive relationship with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay to supervisor
  • ensure dining room setup and cleanliness before and after service
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff from other departments during special events
  • perform other duties as assigned
