Job Requirements

Prior server experience is required
ability to perform essential functions of the position satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
willingness to work full-time or part-time schedules including weekends, holidays, and weekdays
prior experience in senior living or healthcare settings is a plus
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to maintain confidentiality
must be able to follow food safety and sanitation standards
must be able to operate relevant dining and kitchen equipment

ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
understanding of safe food handling and sanitation standards
familiarity with menu ingredients and allergen information

ability to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs
demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate preferences
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery
exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain patience when interacting with guests and staff
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service while meeting sanitation standards
operate various equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
assist with special events and functions as part of a cross-departmental team
perform other duties as assigned
