Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • availability to work full-time or part-time including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • capable of standing, walking, and carrying trays for long periods
  • reliable and punctual
  • pass background check if required
  • comply with company drug-free workplace policy

Job Qualifications

  • Prior serving experience preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • basic math skills for handling cash transactions
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • understanding of customer service principles
  • flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • delivers food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follows up periodically to assist with additional guest needs
  • demonstrates knowledge of menu items, ingredients, specialized diets, and allergens
  • communicates with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
  • collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
  • promotes a clean, safe, and neat environment
  • addresses guest complaints promptly and relays to supervisor
  • sets up and cleans the dining room before and after service
  • operates equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborates with other departments during special events
  • performs other duties as assigned
