Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least 1 year of prior server experience preferred
- ability to work full time with open availability including weekends and holidays
- ability to maintain safe food handling practices
- ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform assigned duties
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- willingness to follow company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of prior server experience preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
- understanding of menu items and specialized dietary needs
- ability to operate service equipment
- strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- high level of discretion and confidentiality
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverages orders efficiently following established service steps
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain flexibility and patience with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- maintain high sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues relaying relevant details to supervisor
- ensure dining room setup and cleanliness before and after service periods
- operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- work with other departments' staff during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
