Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- Ability to work full-time schedule including Fridays through Tuesdays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capability to handle cash and operate dining equipment safely
- Commitment to upholding confidentiality and guest privacy
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
Job Qualifications
- Prior hospitality or customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Understanding of menu ingredients and special dietary needs
- Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Basic operation of dining room equipment
- Flexibility to work varying hours including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established service steps
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with others
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- Promote and maintain a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
- Maintain confidentiality regarding guest personal or medical information
- Address and resolve guest complaints or issues promptly, escalating to supervisors if necessary
- Ensure proper dining room setup before and after service
- Operate dining room equipment including coffee machines, soda dispensers, and fire extinguishers
- Collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
- Perform additional duties as assigned
