Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • capable of delivering excellent customer service
  • able to follow established food and beverage service procedures
  • must maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • capable of handling cash and operating point-of-sale systems
  • able to communicate clearly and work as part of a team
  • willing to undergo training related to food safety and service excellence

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in food and beverage service or customer service advantageous but not required
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards beneficial
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • understanding of specialized dietary needs and allergens is a plus

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate special dietary requests
  • communicate effectively with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and remain flexible and patient with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding any personal or medical information shared
  • promptly address guest complaints or issues and relay information to supervisors
  • ensure proper setup and cleanup of the dining room before and after service, maintaining sanitation standards
  • operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
