Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior food and beverage service experience preferred
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- basic math skills for cash handling
- availability to work flexible hours during the NBA season
- ability to stand for extended periods
- commitment to following food safety and sanitation protocols
- authorized to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in food and beverage service or hospitality is a plus
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- customer service orientation with ability to remain patient and flexible
- basic understanding of menu items and dietary accommodations
- ability to operate food service equipment
- team player who can collaborate effectively with others
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate combinations
- accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correct and special requests are accommodated
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain flexibility and patience when dealing with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors
- ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
- operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- work with other department staff during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
