Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior food and beverage service experience preferred
ability to communicate clearly and effectively
basic math skills for cash handling
availability to work flexible hours during the NBA season
ability to stand for extended periods
commitment to following food safety and sanitation protocols
authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior experience in food and beverage service or hospitality is a plus
strong communication and interpersonal skills
ability to handle cash transactions accurately
knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
customer service orientation with ability to remain patient and flexible
basic understanding of menu items and dietary accommodations
ability to operate food service equipment
team player who can collaborate effectively with others

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate combinations
accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correct and special requests are accommodated
exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain flexibility and patience when dealing with guests and staff
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors
ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
work with other department staff during special events and functions
perform other duties as assigned
