Job Requirements

  • Prior server experience is required
  • Ability to work full-time or part-time schedules including weekends, holidays, and varied hours
  • Basic food safety and sanitation knowledge
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Patience and professionalism in customer service interactions

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients accommodating specialized diets and allergens
  • Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are accurate and special requests accommodated
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills and patience with guests and staff
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal or medical information
  • Address complaints or issues promptly and relay to supervisor
  • Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
  • Operate a variety of equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
  • Collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
