Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to take and deliver food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- maintain safe food handling and sanitation practices
- strong verbal communication skills
- ability to work as part of a team
- must be able to handle cash transactions responsibly
- availability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
- commitment to providing excellent guest service
- physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
- pass any required background checks and comply with company policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in food and beverage service or customer service is an asset
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is beneficial
- basic math skills to handle cash transactions
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically with guests to assist with additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- accommodate reasonable requests and note guest preferences
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correct and special requests accommodated
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and work well with others
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors
- ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
- operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- work with staff from other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
