Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior food service or serving experience preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • good communication skills
  • ability to follow established procedures
  • ability to handle cash responsibly
  • ability to maintain a professional appearance
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

  • Prior food service experience preferred
  • prior customer service or serving experience preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • knowledge of menu items and ingredients
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • adaptability and patience in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences and specialized dietary needs
  • communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special accommodations
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to work well with others
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared by guests
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors
  • ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service and complies with sanitation standards
  • operate various dining room equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff from other departments to support special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
