Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in food and beverage service or hospitality is beneficial
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong customer service orientation
  • basic understanding of food safety and sanitation
  • ability to handle cash and payment processing
  • capable of standing for extended periods during shifts
  • flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • knowledgeable about menu items and dietary restrictions is a plus

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note dietary preferences
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff for accurate order delivery and special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive relationships with guests and colleagues
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
  • ensure dining room is properly set up and clean before and after service periods
  • operate variety of equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • work collaboratively with other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
