Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
ability to take food and beverage orders accurately
strong customer service skills
effective communication capabilities
ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
ability to operate relevant equipment
must be able to stand for long periods
availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
previous experience in food and beverage service or hospitality is beneficial
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
strong customer service orientation
basic understanding of food safety and sanitation
ability to handle cash and payment processing
capable of standing for extended periods during shifts
flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
knowledgeable about menu items and dietary restrictions is a plus

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate combinations
accommodate reasonable requests and note dietary preferences
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff for accurate order delivery and special requests
exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive relationships with guests and colleagues
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
ensure dining room is properly set up and clean before and after service periods
operate variety of equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
work collaboratively with other departments during special events and functions
perform other duties as assigned
