Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
previous food service experience preferred
ability to perform duties during scheduled hours including evenings
basic math and communication skills
ability to stand and move for extended periods
must comply with food safety and sanitation procedures
ability to work cooperatively with team members
willingness to undergo training and development

ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
ability to understand and explain menu items including allergens and dietary restrictions
basic math skills for cash handling
ability to maintain confidentiality
flexibility to work scheduled hours
willingness to learn and take on additional training

Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advising guests on food and drink combinations and accommodating dietary requests
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests
exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain patience with guests and staff
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors
ensure proper setup and cleanup of the dining room before and after service
operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
collaborate with staff from other departments during special events
perform other duties as assigned
