Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients advising guests on food and drink combinations
  • communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • address guest complaints promptly and relay information to supervisor
  • ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee machines
  • work with staff across departments during special events
  • perform other duties as assigned
