Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of previous fine dining experience preferred
- Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Must maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Must comply with health and safety standards
- Must be able to perform physical duties associated with the job
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years fine dining experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to handle cash and operate point-of-sale systems
- Flexibility to work varying part-time schedules
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to understand and convey menu details and dietary information
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food handling and sanitation standards
- Follow up periodically to assist guests with any additional needs or requests
- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
- Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are accurate and special requests accommodated
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment in the dining room
- Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information to supervisors
- Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
- Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
- Work cooperatively with other departments during special events and functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
