Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • two years of previous waiter/waitress experience preferred
  • available for full-time or part-time work
  • open availability preferred
  • ability to work varied hours and days
  • ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • capable of standing and walking for extended periods
  • strong communication skills
  • able to handle cash transactions accurately
  • willingness to work in a fast-paced dining environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follows up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • explains menu items and ingredients to guests
  • advises on food and drink combinations
  • accommodates reasonable requests and dietary preferences
  • communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests
  • exhibits exceptional communication and teamwork skills
  • collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
  • promotes cleanliness, safety, and neatness in the dining area
  • maintains sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical guest information
  • addresses complaints or issues promptly and reports to supervisor
  • ensures dining room setup before and after service periods
  • operates equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborates with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • performs other duties as assigned
