Currently, Morrison Living is hiring immediately for part-time Waiter/Waitress positions at Corewell Commons Farmington Hills, located at 21450 Archwood Drive, Farmington Hills, Michigan. This position offers a fixed pay rate of $15.00 per hour and requires prior serving experience in a senior living setting. Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverages orders efficiently, following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks
- accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
- demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correct and special requests accommodated
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and get along well with others
- remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
- maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues
- relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
- keep area clean and meet sanitation standards
- operate various equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
- work with staff from other departments during special events
- perform other duties as assigned
