Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Availability to work full-time or part-time with open availability preferred
  • Must maintain a drug-free workplace
  • Capability to handle physical demands of the job such as standing and walking
  • Ability to adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in a waiter/waitress or customer service role preferred
  • Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Basic math skills for cash handling
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and open availability preferred
  • Understanding of specialized diets and allergens is a plus

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
  • Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests accommodated
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information to supervisors
  • Ensure dining room is properly set up prior to and after service period
  • Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • Work with staff of other departments during special events
  • Perform other duties as assigned
