The open position at Levy involves taking food and beverage orders and delivering items efficiently to dining guests, offering a rewarding opportunity to work in a vibrant hospitality environment. Employees in this role play a pivotal part in providing exceptional customer service—warming greeting guests, taking accurate and prompt orders, delivering food and beverages, and maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards. This role requires a detailed understanding of menu items and ingredients, including the ability to advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate special dietary needs and preferences, including knowledge about allergens and specialized diets. Good communication skills are essential, both to interact with guests flexibly and patiently and to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff to fulfill orders accurately.

You will also be involved in maintaining cleanliness and safety in the dining area, following cash-handling procedures, and ensuring that guests have a delightful dining experience from start to finish. Complaint resolution and relaying guest feedback to supervisors is part of the responsibility, helping Levy maintain its high reputation for service. Operating various pieces of equipment, such as iced tea machines, coffee makers, and soup wells, is also part of the daily duties. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Availability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Willingness to comply with health and safety regulations
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous food service or customer service experience is beneficial
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Basic math skills for cash handling

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
