The company is currently seeking a part-time Waiter/Waitress to join the team at Park Place Assisted Living located at 6900 37th Avenue South, Seattle, Washington. This position offers a flexible part-time schedule with varied days and hours, specifically requiring coverage for Monday evening and Tuesday morning shifts. The hourly pay ranges between $21.30 and $22.60, providing competitive compensation combined with valuable perks such as a uniform shirt, free parking, and free shift meals. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years previous serving experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible part-time schedule including Monday evening and Tuesday morning

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advising guests on appropriate food and drink combinations
  • Accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences, including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
  • Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special request accommodation
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests
  • Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information to supervisor
  • Ensure dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation
  • Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
