The Village Club Grillroom, located at 318 Lakeville Road in Great Neck, NY, is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join their team as Waiter/Waitress on a full-time or part-time basis. This role offers an hourly pay range of $18.00 to $22.00, making it an excellent opportunity for those passionate about hospitality and customer service. As a Waiter or Waitress at The Village Club Grillroom, you will be the frontline ambassador representing CulinArt's commitment to impeccable service and dining excellence. This position involves taking food and beverage orders, efficiently delivering items to guests, and ensuring a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Employees will learn to expertly navigate menu items, including understanding ingredients and accommodating special dietary requests to enhance guest satisfaction. In addition to direct guest service, the Waiter/Waitress will maintain vigilance over the dining area’s cleanliness, set up and break down service areas, and operate various equipment pertinent to daily operations. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a waiter/waitress or customer service role is an advantage but not required
- strong communication and interpersonal skills

- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is beneficial
- ability to work well in a team environment
- basic math skills for handling transactions
- willingness to learn and be trained
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established service steps
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate thorough understanding of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on food and drink combinations, and accommodate special dietary requests
- communicate effectively with back-of-house staff to ensure accuracy of orders and accommodate special requests
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
- maintain confidentiality regarding guest information
- address complaints promptly and communicate concerns to supervisors
- set up and clean dining areas before and after service
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
- collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
