Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work part-time schedule including weekends
- previous serving experience preferred but not required
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
- basic math skills for handling transactions
- willingness to adhere to safety and cleanliness standards
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- ability to follow directions and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous serving experience is preferred but not required
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to understand and explain menu items
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- customer service orientation and teamwork skills
- willingness to learn and be trained on the job
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
- communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy and special request accommodations
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay to supervisor
- ensure proper dining room setup before and after service
- operate various dining equipment including beverage machines and fire extinguishers
- collaborate with staff from other departments during special events
- perform other duties as assigned
