Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on food and drink combinations
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive interactions with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
- maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
- ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- work with other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
