Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs
  • demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests
  • communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy and special accommodations
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain a positive rapport with guests and team members
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints and relay relevant information to supervisors
  • ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
