Located at Blakeford at Green Hills in Nashville, Tennessee, Morrison Living is currently hiring full-time and part-time Waiter/Waitress positions. As a Waiter/Waitress at Morrison Living, you will be an integral part of a talented and supportive culinary team committed to hospitality excellence. Your primary responsibility will be to take food and beverage orders and efficiently deliver items to guests while ensuring a warm and welcoming dining experience. You will be expected to maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards, demonstrate in-depth knowledge of menu items, assist guests with dietary accommodations, and communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Your role extends beyond serving food; you will promote a clean and safe environment, handle complaints professionally, and support the organization’s commitment to confidentiality and guest satisfaction.

- Valid ABC card preferred
- availability for full-time or part-time scheduling
- reliable transportation to Blakeford at Green Hills location
- ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to serving
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
- commitment to maintaining confidentiality of guest information
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a waiter or waitress role advantageous
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to understand and explain menu items and dietary restrictions
- strong customer service orientation
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on food and drink combinations and accommodate special dietary needs
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and teamwork
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
- promptly address complaints or issues and report to supervisor
- ensure dining room setup before and after service and maintain sanitation standards
- operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
