Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • preferred prior server experience
  • ability to work full time with a rotating schedule including weekdays and some weekends
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to handle cash transactions
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols
  • physically able to perform job duties that include standing and walking for extended periods
  • must comply with applicable workplace policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous server experience preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • capacity to handle cash transactions responsibly
  • understanding of dietary restrictions and allergens
  • flexibility to work rotating schedules including some weekends
  • commitment to providing exceptional customer service

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner, following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • ensure that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period
  • operate equipment such as telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • work with staff of other departments during special events and functions
  • promptly address complaints and relay information to supervisors
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
