Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a server role preferred
  • Availability to work part-time afternoon and evening shifts
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Must comply with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to handle cash and follow proper cash-handling procedures

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on food and drink combinations
  • Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and accommodate special requests
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal or medical information shared by guests
  • Address complaints promptly and relay information to supervisors
  • Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods and meets sanitation standards
  • Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • Collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
