Job Requirements

  • Previous bartending or server experience preferred
  • ability to work full-time or part-time schedules Monday through Friday
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • reliable transportation to ServiceNow location in Santa Clara, CA
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • authorization to work in the United States
  • ability to follow health and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in bartending or server roles preferred
  • strong communication and customer service skills
  • ability to understand menu items and accommodate dietary restrictions
  • reliable and able to work flexible schedules
  • ability to maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • team-oriented with ability to cooperate well with kitchen and service staff

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist guests with additional needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests appropriately
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accuracy of orders and special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain patience and flexibility with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints and relay information to the supervisor
  • ensure proper dining room setup before and after service while adhering to sanitation standards
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
