Job Requirements

  • Previous server experience preferred but not required
  • ability to work a part-time schedule including weekends
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays
  • availability to start immediately
  • legal authorization to work in the United States
  • commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in a server or hospitality role preferred but not required
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices a plus
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • basic math skills for handling transactions

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences including knowledge of special diets and allergens
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain flexibility and patience when interacting with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
  • maintain confidentiality regarding personal and medical information shared
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay information to supervisor
  • ensure dining room is properly set up before and after service
  • operate various equipment like fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
  • collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
