Job Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training within 30 days of employment and 4 hours refresher training annually
  • direct deposit and Social Security card required
  • meet qualification eligibility and background requirements for this position
  • satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
  • meet the agency's local age requirement (18 years old)
  • must meet state or local age requirements to serve alcoholic beverages
  • must be able and willing to work a schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks according to AR 215-3, chapter 2
  • may be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for physical access to federally controlled facilities

Job Qualifications

  • Meet the state of Texas age requirements for the servicing of alcoholic beverages at the time of appointment
  • possess basic math skills necessary to compute patron bills and make change
  • be able to communicate effectively in English
  • able to work under close supervision and learn various customer service skills during the development period

Job Duties

  • Sets tables, arranges place settings and table decorations according to Texas Roadhouse standards
  • receives guests, makes suggestions and answers questions about food, wines and other items available
  • takes and places orders
  • receives food and beverages from kitchen and bar when required
  • maintains sales record
  • collects cash or payment by credit card
  • clears and cleans tables and other customer service areas
  • performs other duties as assigned
