Job Duties
- follow a predetermined menu to prepare top-notch food and pastries
- put together a report for the day ensuring the accuracy of transactions and meal planning
- grasp the elements that make up a meal to confirm their inclusion
- store food correctly to prevent contamination and spoilage
- deliver food to patrons as per scheduled meal times and establishment regulations
- apply and maintain culinary utensils, with a focus on blades
- make sure food items and beverages are prepared promptly
- enhance the visual appeal of meals through garnishing
- provide help with sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving devices
- uphold all food safety requirements including hygiene, handling procedures, and storage protocols
- comply with uniform regulations at all times
- coordinate daily with the manager for menu planning
- ensure foods are stored and served at correct temperatures
- maintain cleanliness and organization in work and storage areas
- maintain hygiene by cleaning and disinfecting work areas including steam tables, countertops, and machinery
- implement cleanliness procedures like sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
- collect garbage and keep kitchen floors clean
- fulfill other duties including aiding different kitchen departments as required
