Job Duties

  • follow a predetermined menu to prepare top-notch food and pastries
  • put together a report for the day ensuring the accuracy of transactions and meal planning
  • grasp the elements that make up a meal to confirm their inclusion
  • store food correctly to prevent contamination and spoilage
  • deliver food to patrons as per scheduled meal times and establishment regulations
  • apply and maintain culinary utensils, with a focus on blades
  • make sure food items and beverages are prepared promptly
  • enhance the visual appeal of meals through garnishing
  • provide help with sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving devices
  • uphold all food safety requirements including hygiene, handling procedures, and storage protocols
  • comply with uniform regulations at all times
  • coordinate daily with the manager for menu planning
  • ensure foods are stored and served at correct temperatures
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in work and storage areas
  • maintain hygiene by cleaning and disinfecting work areas including steam tables, countertops, and machinery
  • implement cleanliness procedures like sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • collect garbage and keep kitchen floors clean
  • fulfill other duties including aiding different kitchen departments as required
