Job Duties

  • Follow a predetermined menu to prepare top-notch food and pastries
  • Put together a report for the day ensuring the accuracy of transactions and meal planning
  • Grasp the elements that make up a meal to confirm their inclusion
  • Store food correctly to prevent contamination and spoilage
  • Deliver food to patrons as per scheduled meal times and establishment regulations
  • Apply and upkeep culinary utensils, with a focus on blades
  • Make sure food items and beverages are prepared promptly
  • Elevate the visual appeal of meals through garnishing
  • Provide help with sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving devices
  • Uphold all food safety requirements including hygiene, handling, and storage
  • Comply with uniform regulations
  • Coordinate daily menu planning with the manager
  • Monitor food temperatures for storage and service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas
  • Keep work areas clean and disinfected including steam tables and machinery
  • Perform general cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • Collect garbage and keep kitchen floors clean
  • Fulfill other duties as required in different kitchen departments
