Job Duties
- Follow a predetermined menu to prepare top-notch food and pastries
- put together a report for the day ensuring the accuracy of transactions and meal planning
- grasp the elements that make up a meal to confirm their inclusion
- store food correctly to prevent contamination and spoilage
- deliver food to patrons as per scheduled meal times and establishment regulations
- apply and upkeep culinary utensils, with a focus on blades
- ensure food items and beverages are prepared promptly
- elevate the visual appeal of meals through the art of garnishing
- assist with sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving devices
- uphold all requirements related to food safety, including hygiene, handling procedures, and storage protocols
- comply with established uniform regulations
- coordinate daily menu planning with the manager
- ensure foods are stored and served at correct temperatures
- uphold cleanliness and organization in work and storage areas
- maintain hygiene by cleaning and disinfecting work areas including steam tables, countertops, and machinery
- perform sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
- collect garbage and keep kitchen floors clean
- fulfill other duties as required, including aiding in different kitchen departments
