Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working as a waiter or in a customer service role in a restaurant setting
  • Familiarity with reservation systems like OpenTable and POS platforms such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and carry moderate weights
  • Customer-focused attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant experience with a strong background in food service and customer relations
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
  • Experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality environments is preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
  • Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest engagement
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude that fosters guest loyalty
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and order calculations

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements with efficiency using OpenTable or similar reservation systems
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated clearly to the kitchen staff
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities by suggesting popular dishes or beverages
  • Assist with food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols to uphold health standards in all service activities
  • Clear tables efficiently by bussing and resetting for incoming guests, maintaining a tidy dining area at all times
  • Provide excellent guest relations through attentive service, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction during their visit
