The role of Waiter at Aramark is integral to maintaining the high standards of food preparation, presentation, and service that the company is known for. The Waiter supports the manager by actively participating in preparing food and meals according to a predetermined menu, ensuring all food is handled and stored safely to prevent contamination. This role is also responsible for monitoring meal components, serving food promptly at scheduled times, and maintaining accurate records of cash receipts and daily transactions. The Waiter contributes to upholding sanitation and kitchen safety protocols, including the cleaning of appliances, refrigeration units, and work surfaces, and compliance with food safety standards related to hygiene, handling, and storage.

Job Duties

  • Follow a predetermined menu to prepare top-notch food and pastries
  • put together a report for the day ensuring the accuracy of transactions and meal planning
  • grasp the elements that make up a meal to confirm their inclusion
  • store food correctly to prevent contamination and spoilage
  • deliver food to patrons as per scheduled meal times and establishment regulations
  • apply and maintain culinary utensils, focusing on blades
  • prepare food items and beverages promptly
  • enhance the visual appeal of meals through garnishing
  • assist with sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving devices
  • uphold all food safety requirements including hygiene, handling procedures, and storage protocols
  • comply with uniform regulations at all times
  • coordinate daily menu planning with the manager
  • ensure foods are stored and served at correct temperatures
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in work and storage areas
  • keep work areas clean and disinfected including steam tables, countertops, and machinery
  • carry out general cleaning like sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • collect garbage and keep kitchen floors clean for hygiene
  • perform additional duties as required including aiding in different kitchen departments
