The Waiter position at Aramark involves supporting the manager by participating in food and meal preparation, monitoring cash receipts, and maintaining accurate meal records. This role requires diligence in upholding the highest standards in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety. The Waiter is responsible for following predetermined menus to prepare top-notch food and pastries, ensuring all meal components are included as planned, and serving food according to scheduled meal times and establishment guidelines. They must also manage food storage to avoid contamination and spoilage, apply and maintain culinary utensils with a focus on blades, and ensure efficient and timely preparation of food items and beverages.

Additionally, the role demands enhancing food aesthetics through garnishing to improve guest enjoyment, assisting with cleaning and sanitation of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving devices, and strictly following food safety protocols covering hygiene, handling procedures, and storage requirements. Compliance with established uniform policies and daily interaction with the manager for menu coordination are essential aspects of the job. The Waiter must also monitor food temperatures rigorously and maintain cleanliness and organization in their work and storage areas while participating in general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing. Proper garbage collection and maintaining clean kitchen floors are important to uphold hygiene. The position may also require fulfilling other tasks as requested, including support across different kitchen departments.

Physical demands for this role include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for extended periods. The Waiter is expected to follow uniform guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary. Aramark values individuals with Food Service Certification, a satisfactory educational background, and the ability to understand and comply with both verbal and written instructions. The skill to work effectively under pressure and complete tasks swiftly is crucial. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
