This role is for a Wait Staff Non-Tipped position at the Delta Sky Club in Tampa (TPA). It is a full-time opportunity with a fixed pay rate of $16.50 per hour. As a Wait Staff Non-Tipped team member, you will provide attentive and efficient service, delivering freshly prepared entrées, appetizers, desserts, and beverages from the menu. Your role involves greeting and seating guests, introducing menu specials, answering questions regarding the menu items including allergens and preparation methods, and making knowledgeable recommendations to enhance the customer's dining experience.

You will be responsible for accurately taking and relaying orders to the kitchen, ensuring the correct sequence and quality of dishes served, and monitoring guests' needs throughout their visit. The position requires physical stamina to walk and stand for extended periods, lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally, and perform repetitive motions safely and effectively. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • Must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local city and state regulations if applicable
  • May require valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification
  • Ability to work varying shifts including days, hours, and rotating weekends
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods exceeding 8 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism
  • Attend work and show up for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • Must comply with state and local regulations regarding the minimum age to serve alcohol if applicable
  • May require valid alcohol-service certification such as TIPS or TEAM and comply with related training requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job including lifting and standing
  • Responsible and punctual with a professional attitude

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests, present menus, and introduce specials or menu changes
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine, and answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
  • Accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen, confirm orders with guests, and process them in the correct sequence
  • Check all items for quality and completeness, ensuring that presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
  • Monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and address concerns or complaints with professionalism
  • Perform significant walking or other means of mobility during shifts
  • Maintain physical ability to walk or stand for extended periods, sometimes exceeding 8 hours
  • Other duties may be assigned depending on business needs and client requirements
