Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- Must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local city and state regulations if applicable
- May require valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification
- Ability to work varying shifts including days, hours, and rotating weekends
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods exceeding 8 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to perform repetitive motions
- Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism
- Attend work and show up for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- Must comply with state and local regulations regarding the minimum age to serve alcohol if applicable
- May require valid alcohol-service certification such as TIPS or TEAM and comply with related training requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job including lifting and standing
- Responsible and punctual with a professional attitude
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests, present menus, and introduce specials or menu changes
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine, and answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
- Accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen, confirm orders with guests, and process them in the correct sequence
- Check all items for quality and completeness, ensuring that presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
- Monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and address concerns or complaints with professionalism
- Perform significant walking or other means of mobility during shifts
- Maintain physical ability to walk or stand for extended periods, sometimes exceeding 8 hours
- Other duties may be assigned depending on business needs and client requirements
