Job Description

HumanGood is a renowned organization dedicated to reimagining senior living and creating vibrant communities where older adults can thrive with dignity, respect, and purpose. As a leader in the senior living industry, HumanGood fosters an environment that supports both residents and team members, encouraging growth, personal development, and meaningful connections. The organization’s mission centers around providing outstanding services to seniors, ensuring their health, well-being, and happiness through compassionate care and tailored programs that enhance quality of life. Working at HumanGood means becoming part of a community committed to making a positive difference in the lives of older adults every day.

The Waitstaff/Server position at HumanGood offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service and who desire to contribute meaningfully to the lives of seniors. This role involves delivering high-quality dining experiences by taking menu orders and serving meals promptly and courteously to residents and guests. Candidates in this position are expected to maintain the dining room setting by regularly setting up, clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables to provide a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for residents. The schedule typically runs from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with supervisors considering either Friday-Saturday or Sunday-Monday as designated days off, providing a balanced work-life schedule.

Compensation for this role starts at $17.50 per hour and can increase based on the candidate’s experience, reflecting HumanGood’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding skill and dedication. The position is ideal for individuals who value teamwork, possess a spirit of service, and have prior experience either in food service or customer-facing roles. Qualifications such as prior food service experience, customer service skills, and knowledge of senior care environments are advantageous. Additionally, certifications like Food Handler's or ServSafe, while not mandatory, are preferred, enhancing the candidate’s suitability and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

HumanGood prides itself on offering a comprehensive benefits package to support the well-being of their team members and their families. These benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance effective from the first of the month following employment, generous paid time off including company holidays, and a 401(k) plan with up to a 4% employer match without vesting wait periods. The organization also provides options like health savings accounts with employer contributions, tuition reimbursement, continuing education programs to encourage personal and professional growth, and cell phone stipends to help with communication needs. Employees also gain access to a well-regarded employee assistance program designed to support mental health and personal challenges.

By joining HumanGood as a Waitstaff/Server, candidates become part of a mission-driven company committed not only to the health and happiness of residents but also to the growth, security, and satisfaction of its employees. Team members at HumanGood enjoy a supportive work culture with real opportunities for advancement in their careers while making impactful contributions to a community that values dignity and human potential. This role is more than just a job; it is a chance to bring compassion to life every day and to be valued for the unique skills and care each individual brings to the team.
